    One of the most popular and adorable isopod species, Rubber Ducky Isopods are prized for their distinctive yellow "duck-bill" facial pattern and compact, pill-like shape. Native to limestone caves in Southeast Asia, these isopods thrive in a stable, high-humidity bioactive setup.

    Care:

    • Keep humidity around 80–90% and temperatures between 72–80°F (22–27°C).

    • Use a moist, well-draining substrate like our CALCIUM BIOSTRATE with ample hiding spots like cork bark, moss, and leaf litter.r.

    • Provide both a moist and a slightly drier area to mimic their natural microclimate.

    Diet:

    • Primarily detritivores—they eat decaying leaf litter, soft woods, and need a good amount of calcium, cuddle bone works great.

    • Supplement occasionally with protein-rich foods like fish flakes or dried shrimp.

    Difficulty: Moderate: Rubber Ducky Isopods require stable humidity, temperature, and patience, as they are slow to breed. Best suited for experienced keepers.
